Transforming a Corporate Space with Large-Scale Metal Prints for Newmont

At Prolab, we recently partnered with Newmont to deliver a striking series of large-format metal prints, designed to elevate their office environment and create a strong visual connection to their operations and landscape.

This project combined technical precision, creative collaboration, and seamless installation to achieve a polished, architectural outcome.

A Cohesive Visual Strategy

Newmont approached us with a curated selection of site and nature photography, with the goal of creating a consistent and impactful display across their office spaces.

To achieve this, we recommended producing all artworks at a unified size of 1300 × 950 mm. This ensured:

  • A clean, consistent visual language across all rooms
  • Strong presence on large wall surfaces
  • A professional, gallery-style finish

By standardising the sizing and finish, we helped Newmont create a cohesive and immersive environment that reflects both their brand and their operations.

Premium Metal Printing for Maximum Impact

For this project, we utilised our SwissQprint UV flatbed technology, producing high-resolution prints directly onto aluminium composite panels.

This method offers several key advantages:

  • A sleek, modern, frameless presentation

Each piece was finished with a matte varnish, reducing glare while maintaining depth and richness in the imagery—ideal for office lighting conditions.

Precision Preparation and Pre-Press Workflow

Before production, our team carried out detailed pre-press and file preparation, ensuring every image was optimised for large-scale output.

This included:

  • Reviewing resolution and scaling for 1300 mm width
  • Confirming crop and composition for each artwork
  • Balancing tones and contrast for metal print output

This step is critical in achieving consistent, high-quality results across multiple artworks.

Professional Installation for a Flawless Finish

To ensure the best possible presentation, we coordinated professional installation using split batten hanging systems.

This approach allowed for:

  • Secure and level mounting
  • Easy alignment across multiple walls
  • A floating, gallery-style appearance
