Prolab Produces Striking Works for Man&Wah’s Exhibition at 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art
At Prolab, we had the privilege of producing a series of high-impact photographic prints for acclaimed artist duo Man&Wah for their exhibition “Propagate / Germinate / Bloom” at the 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art in Sydney. The show, which ran from 6 June to 3 August, was an immersive, multi-sensory experience celebrating ancestral knowledge, spiritual practice, and the sacred energy of nature.
Transforming Vision into Fine Art Prints
Working closely with the artists, we brought their powerful digital compositions to life using our signature fine art printing process. The centrepiece image—a luminous depiction of a divine figure flanked by panthers and crowned with cosmic botanicals—was printed at large scale on Crystal Gloss media, framed in a sleek, minimalist profile to match the exhibition’s aesthetic.
Our production team ensured every detail, from colour grading to surface texture and framing, echoed the artists’ vision of reverence and vibrancy. The results spoke for themselves—commanding presence on the gallery walls, framed by dramatic lighting and thoughtful spatial design.
About the Exhibition: “Propagate / Germinate / Bloom”
Man&Wah’s exhibition was a deeply personal and spiritual reflection on the cycle of life, inspired by their heritage and connection to plant consciousness. Visitors entered through a glowing octagonal portal, greeted by neon botanical symbols and lush living installations.
Inside, the darkened gallery showcased the printed works alongside sand altar installations, sacred figurines, and curated altars. The prints acted as powerful visual anchors within the space, guiding the audience through themes of regeneration, resilience, and rooted identity.
